Over the past several weeks, parts of the United States have been hit with some severe winter weather as winter storms have brought heavy snow, strong winds, and bitterly cold temperatures to some areas of the country. Now, as the New Year rolls in, another storm is coming.
On Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a winter storm warning for parts of the Great Lakes region and the Northeast for a winter storm that is predicted to bring up to several feet of snow in some areas of the country.
Winter Storm Warning
In a new alert, the NWS warned of “heavy snow” and strong winds for parts of the Great Lakes region and the Northeast, which was expected to make driving conditions especially difficult and dangerous for travelers.
