Fort Wayne neighborhoods to see major utility upgrades in 2026

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — City Utilities is gearing up for a busy 2026 with numerous projects across Fort Wayne’s water, stormwater, and sewer systems. Several initiatives are already underway, with more scheduled to start next year.

Water main replacements are planned for Bloomingdale and Hamilton neighborhoods, with continued lead line replacements in Creighton-Home, Hoagland Masterson, Poplar, and Williams-Woodland Park. A new feeder main installation is also planned to enhance service around Lake Avenue.

Sewer upgrades will include lining nine miles of pipe to extend their life and installing a new force main along St. Joe Center Road. Stormwater improvements will focus on the Bullerman Drain and areas like Country Club Gardens and Lincolndale…
