DUI driver who crashed in 2015 charged with homicide after passenger dies

A Lancaster city man who spent at least two years in prison for a DUI crash that seriously injured a woman a decade ago is now charged with causing her death, nearly two years after she died at Lancaster Hospice and Community Care.

East Lampeter Township police on Tuesday charged Michael Anthony Ortiz, 32, of the 200 block of North Duke Street, with homicide by vehicle while DUI in the death of Eliena Rodriguez, 36.
