New renderings from Nashville-based Jonathan’s Grille offer an early look at the upscale sports bar’s plans to join the mix of restaurants opening around Covenant Health Park − the kind of private investment local leaders said would follow the publicly funded stadium.
Jonathan’s Grille has plans to occupy a new multistory building on Willow Avenue that will be built between the stadium − home to the Knoxville Smokies and USL League One Champions One Knoxville SC − and the gas station up the hill. This is different than the other restaurants announced for the budding stadium district, which are all opening within the ballpark’s footprint.
Crispy Cones, Iron Forge Brewing Co. and Jackie’s Dream are all scheduled to open inside the ballpark (but accessible to the public) on the third-base side.
