Wilson County Animal Control wants help identifying suspects in ‘heartbreaking video’ of abandoned dog

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Wilson County Animal Control has asked for the public’s help identifying suspects accused of abandoning a dog earlier this week.

The footage was taken off Quarry Road just before 4 p.m. on Dec. 26.

“You see the — what looks like a female get out of that car. She opens the back door. The dog jumps out. They take it to [what] looks like the front of the blue Dodge Ram. I don’t know if they gave it food or not, but they gave it something to where it distracted the dog,” Cory Huckaby with the WCAC said. “All the individuals run back to their vehicles. They reversed as fast as they could and floored it. Unfortunately, the dog noticed at that point that they were leaving and took off after them down the road. It’s pretty heartbreaking video.”
