WALWORTH, N.Y. (WROC) – Two years ago this week, a retired Monroe County jail deputy was killed in a crash in the town of Walworth. The other driver, who was 18-years-old at the time, was issued traffic tickets by a town court judge after he was found guilty of running a stop sign without a license.
Two days into 2024, 62-year-old Thomas Doherty was killed at the intersection of Route 441 and Canandaigua Road. Doherty’s girlfriend, Kari Bittner, was in the passenger seat and survived.
