At least 6 hurt in shootings around Chicago overnight

CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are starting the year with multiple new investigations after several people were injured overnight in shootings around the city.

According to Chicago police, the shootings unfolded between 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and 4 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Back of the Yards – 11 p.m

Police said the first shooting of the evening unfolded around 11 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Damen in the Back of the Yards.
