CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A cold front will bring snow showers to some areas this afternoon.

Temperatures hold steady in the mid to upper 30s until a cold front passes by this afternoon. As the front passes, winds switch to the north and temperatures begin to fall. Lows tonight bottom out in the single digits and low to mid teens as skies turn partly cloudy.

As the front passes, there is also the chance for scattered, light snow showers along and north of a line from Cedar Rapids to Waterloo. A few areas of mixed precipitation or freezing drizzle cannot be ruled out as well. Impacts and accumulations are expected to remain minor at best, limited to a few isolated slick spots or areas of reduced visibility from snow showers. Any precipitation comes to an end by 6 PM…
