DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – A popular bar and cafe in west De Pere has announced that it has officially closed its doors, bringing to a close a chapter for the owner, who always put the community first.
The owner of The Porch, Jackson Mankowski, stated in a Facebook post on December 30 that “De Pere’s front porch” has officially closed.
The popular bar and cafe was a gathering place for the community to eat, drink, and enjoy live local music, but Mankowski states that although this chapter is closing for him, it will also be a step forward.

I know this is a bit out of the blue, but The Porch has officially closed its doors. Of course, I couldn’t be more proud of what we built. It was an incredible run, filled with music, community, and countless unforgettable moments. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who supported it, and to all the talented musicians and bands who brought it to life time and time again. This chapter is closing, but it’s also a step forward for me. I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I appreciate everyone who’s been part of the journey. Cheers.
