Case reopened against mother accused of fatal drunk driving crash in New Mexico

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The case against a mother accused of a DWI crash that killed two kids is back on. New Mexico State Police said Christina Escobedo-Arriaga was driving drunk in Vado in August when she crashed into a pole. A 15-year-old and a 12-year-old were killed. Another 15-year-old was injured.

According to a court document, Arriaga’s case was dismissed in October for a procedural error, but the case was reopened on November 4. She pleaded not guilty.
