SUGAR LAND, Texas (CW39) – Sugar Land police said four people were charged this week after officers responded to a report of trespassers at the historic Imperial Sugar Factory, which is currently under redevelopment.
According to the Sugar Land Police Department, officers were called to the property Monday night and located multiple individuals inside the gated and restricted area.
Police also said three adult males were each charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass. A juvenile male was charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
In a social media post, police warned the public not to enter restricted areas, saying the Imperial Char House and surrounding property are not open to the public and are unsafe.
