SUGAR LAND, Texas (CW39) – Sugar Land residents can once again help conserve water and save money through the city’s popular Rain Barrel Program.
The program allows neighbors to collect and reuse rainwater, reducing water use and making a local environmental impact. City officials say participants saved an estimated 430,000 gallons of water last year alone.
Rain barrel sales open January 5, 2026, with a special discounted rate for Sugar Land residents. Purchases are limited to two barrels per household, and supplies are limited.
