After 15 years of serving modern Creole comfort food in locations from Gentilly to the Lower Garden District, The Munch Factory has found a new home.
Owners chef Jordan Ruiz and his wife/partner Alexis Ruiz opened in Mid-City in mid-December at 4141 Bienville St., in the space that used to house Frey Meat Co. off N. Carrollton Avenue.
“Moving is hard, but some things feel like the right next step for you, and this feels right,” Alexis Ruiz says. “A long time ago, when we first opened, someone asked us, ‘Are you willing to take a risk on yourself?’ And that’s been our driving force.”…
