ST. LOUIS – Mothers Advocating Safe Streets (MASS) held a candlelight service Wednesday at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ in the Kingsway West neighborhood.
People gathered as community leaders and members of law enforcement spoke about the tragedy of homicide. The names of 139 people in St. Louis City and 37 St. Louis County who died from homicides in 2025 were read aloud while loved ones in the audience listened.
Sharon Webb-Steele with Mothers Advocating Safe Streets (MASS) hopes this ceremony helps support those grieving.
