Local conservation and wildlife photographer Deena Sveinsson received an Honorable Mention in the 2025 National Wildlife Magazine Photo Contest in the Baby Animals Category for her photograph, “A7’s Twins.”
The annual contest, now in its 54th year, received nearly 30,000 submissions from more than 3,200 photographers across the United States and around the world. The winning images highlight the diversity and majesty of wildlife, plants and landscapes from across the globe.
“I am delighted that my moose photograph of deceased celebrity moose A7 and her twin calves, can bring joy to many people,” said Deena. “This photograph is so special since this was taken many years ago in Rocky Mountain National Park, and shows celebrity moose Poppy as a baby calf.”…
