RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -There’s going to be a lot of people celebrating New Year’s Eve in the downtown area. Public Safety officials from the Reno Police Department and Reno Fire Department are advising people to celebrate safely.
Reno Police says there will be an increased presence in the downtown corridor because of the large crowds. The Department recommends travelling in groups, being aware of your surroundings and watching for traffic.
Reno Fire and Police are expecting an increase in service calls. However, the agencies want to make sure that emergency lines remain open for major incidents, where an immediate response is needed…
