Welfare check reveals body of Oakland County man killed in ‘violent attack’

MILFORD, Mich. – Police have taken a Macomb County man into custody following a “violent attack” that killed a man in Milford.

According to authorities, Milford police officers found the 26-year-old victim’s body inside his home on Summit Street, just west of Commerce Street. Police said they were called to the home Wednesday, Dec. 31, for a welfare check after his girlfriend was not able to contact him for some time.

A 29-year-old man from Sterling Heights was taken into custody that night. Police said the two men knew each other and the killing was not random…
