(WJET/WFXP)– Pennsylvania State Police have charged an Edinboro man for his alleged actions during a hit-and-run over the summer, where he allegedly dragged another man with his car while trying to get away.
According to a January 1 release from PSP Mercer, the crash happened on July 19 along Interstate 79 in Findley Township, Mercer County, when 52-year-old Kurt Hopkins of Edinboro allegedly rear-ended the driver in front of him.

Police said the victim pulled over while Hopkins allegedly stayed in the lane and refused to get out and exchange information several times.
He allegedly then tried to take off on I-79 northbound without exchanging information while the other person hung onto his car, dragging him along the shoulder and causing severe injuries when they eventually let go.
