GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — While Jim Valykeo’s property looks like he lives deep in the woods, it’s only a small pocket of trees surrounded by thousands of homes near the Westside Connection neighborhood in Grand Rapids.
“This whole neighborhood over here is new this year,” Valykeo said, pointing to the west side of his backyard. “That complex over there, and that’s apartments and townhouses.”
