Video shared by Lexington justice advocates shows woman reportedly being robbed outside gas station: ‘Infuriating’

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Members of Bluegrass Crime Stoppers shared camera footage on Wednesday that showed a reported assault earlier in December as investigators search for the man responsible.

Officials wrote in a press release that just before 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, officers with the Lexington Police Department had been dispatched to the 1800 block of Augusta Drive in response to reports of a robbery.

A witness reportedly told law enforcement that he saw a man approach the victim from behind and hit her in the head. When the victim fell to the ground, he allegedly took her purse and another person’s wallet before running away.
