MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – One year after a terrorist attack killed 14 people and injured dozens more on Bourbon Street, survivors and victims’ families say the pain remains raw and concerns about public safety persist.
The attack occurred during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day 2024 when a truck plowed through crowds in the French Quarter. Among those injured were people from Mobile.
A memorial installation called Second Line in the Sky now hangs over Bourbon Street to honor the victims.
