(FOX40.COM) — It may be wet outside, but for some, things are actually about to get pretty dry. Across the world, including in Sacramento, the new year marks the beginning of “Dry January.”
This growing health journey — where participants abstain from alcohol for the first month of a new year — dates back to 2013 in the United Kingdom. Back then, only about 4,000 people joined in, but each year it continues to grow. Alcohol Change reported hundreds of thousands choosing to give their livers a break last January.
This is also a budding trend in Sacramento with more businesses opting to provide alcohol free-options for those staying ‘dry’ starting after the clock strikes midnight…
