WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A man was arraigned Wednesday after he allegedly broke into a Woonsocket house and stole wrapped Christmas gifts just days before the holiday.
Police initially responded to the Carrington Avenue home on Dec. 12 for a reported burglary. A little over a week later, officers returned to speak with the victim, who said she discovered the theft on the morning of Dec. 19.
The victim told police her basement doors and a storage closet were left open, and all of the wrapped Christmas presents for her children were missing. She said the closet had been secured with a padlock and appeared to have been tampered with…
