The first baby born at a BSA hospital in 2026 arrived shortly after midnight Thursday at the Hazel and Ross Wilson Women’s Center.
Baylen was born at 12:33 a.m. Jan. 1 at the women’s center at BSA Health System, which serves Amarillo and the surrounding Texas Panhandle. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 8.2 ounces and measured 20¾ inches long. The baby’s parents, Marisa and Joshua, were supported by hospital staff throughout labor and delivery.
