AUSTIN (KXAN) — The fastest highway in the nation is days away from becoming the smartest. The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) and tech company Cavnue will activate the State Highway 130 “smart corridor,” which state officials say will ultimately save lives.
Austin Deputy District Engineer for TXDOT, and lead on the smart corridor project Mike Arellano said it’s “the roadway of the future.”
