MOUNT VERNON, Iowa — Dozens of Iowans started the New Year outdoors today at Palisades-Kepler State Park, taking part in the park’s 7th Annual First Day Hike.
Families, couples and solo hikers gathered at the Palisades-Kepler Lodge just before noon, signing in ahead of the guided hike.
