MEMPHIS, Tenn. —Millions of Americans are facing steep hikes to their health insurance on Thursday as federal subsidies for the Affordable Care Act expire.
That money vanished at midnight with the beginning of the new year, and now many seeking coverage on the government’s insurance marketplace could see their payments more than double.
