Lane County vocational rehabilitation offices merge for better service in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. – Major changes are on the horizon for several programs in Eugene and Springfield as they prepare to relocate.

According to the Vocational Rehabilitation program, the Eugene VR Office and Springfield VR Office will consolidate into a single Lane County VR Office at 18 Shelton McMurphey Blvd., Eugene. The move is set for Jan. 5. The Self-Sufficiency Program and the Oregon Eligibility Partnership will also be moving. They will relocate from The McKenzie Center to the West Eugene Family Center and 101 30th Street in Springfield, with an expected move date in February.

While the Child Welfare program at 2885 Chad Drive will remain, the office at 2101 West 11th Avenue will move to the same location. This will result in two Child Welfare offices in the area, including one at 1040 Harlow Road, Springfield, with the transition anticipated in March…
