YMCA sees New Year fitness rush with anniversary promotion

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The YMCA is experiencing its annual New Year’s fitness rush, with staff reporting a 40% increase in traffic from December to January.

The surge reflects the pattern of New Year’s resolutions focused on fitness goals, though the increase often drops off after the initial January rush.
