January 1st marks deadline for Kentucky vape, tobacco retailers to apply for licenses

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Starting January 1, Kentucky has joined the majority of the United States in requiring businesses to have a license to sell nicotine products.

Advocates from the American Lung Association say that although people have to be 21 or older to purchase vape or tobacco products, Kentucky teens still exceed the national average for E-cigarette use.

Now, the ALA hopes requiring licenses will bring that number down…
