LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky is no stranger to severe weather and in 2025 there were multiple record-breaking storms, from snow and ice to flooding on the waterfront. The flooding even caused the cancelation of Thunder Over Louisville, which is the second time ever in the event’s history.
The Louisville office of the National Weather Service (NWS) also looked back on the year, and revealed some of the most notable weather statistics from 2025 as of Dec. 30.
The hottest temperature recorded was 97 degrees on June 24 and June 25, while the coldest temperature recorded was 4 degrees on Jan. 22, according to NWS Louisville…
