CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Murfreesboro Police Department is rolling out a new body camera feature that allows supervisors to communicate directly with officers in real time — a change the department says could significantly improve officer safety.
The new Axon body camera includes built-in speakers, allowing two-way communication while an officer is actively recording. Supervisors can now watch live video from an incident and speak directly to officers through the camera, without relying on radios or cell phones.
