SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Forest Service – Blackwater Forestry Center says prescribed burns will be in the area just north of I-10 on Friday.
According to a Santa Rosa County release, a contractor is scheduled to conduct two prescribed burns on privates lands. They say this could be visible to passing motorists.
“The first burn is north of I-10, east of Avalon Boulevard, and is 260 acres – highlighted in yellow on the first map,” the release says. “The second is on a 30-acre island in the Blackwater River.”…
