NORTHSTATE, Calif. — A new law will ban cat declawing in California.
For the procedure, a cat’s front claws are removed, which includes part of a cat’s finger being amputated for the front feet.
Assemblymember Alex Lee, author of the legislation, Assembly Bill 867, said, in part, ““This important legislation shows our commitment to protecting our cat companions.
