Easton eatery closes, but owner looks to continue serving dishes via delivery

EASTON, Pa. – A destination for candied yams, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles and other Southern favorites has ended brick-and-mortar operations in Northampton County, but the operator aims to continue serving the community via another format.

Radical Rations featuring Madam Mac, a take-out eatery offering made-from-scratch soul food including fried chicken, collard greens with smoked turkey and rotating varieties of mac and cheese, on Friday announced its closure at 1213 Washington St. in Easton.

“It is with sadness that we announce that we are giving up the location at 1213 Washington St. Easton, PA,” reads an announcement on the business’ Facebook page.

“The overhead has been too much to maintain. We are working on plans that will allow Platter delivery and will post soon on how that will work. Thank you all for your support. It has been a pleasure serving you!”…
