Corpus Christi, Texas – The Coastal Bend is welcoming the new year with well above normal temperatures and dry weather, giving South Texas a springlike start to 2026. Sunshine and light winds will dominate New Year’s Day, with afternoon highs climbing into the 80s across much of the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, high temperatures today will range from the low 80s along the immediate coast to the upper 80s inland. Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Alice, and Beeville are all expected to reach the mid to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
