CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A Cedar Rapids man is now charged with attempted murder after a Sunday morning shooting outside a southeast side multi-family home.
Authorities say 49-year-old Thomas Vesey III shot the victim three times — in the face, back and left arm — around 4:05 a.m. following an after-hours party at a home in the 300 block of 30th Street Drive SE.
Surveillance footage from a camera less than a block away shows a vehicle matching Vesey’s white Ford F-150 leaving the area within minutes of the shooting, according to the complaint.
