Quill is one of the 3,689 furry friends that were adopted at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society in 2025. But staff says in a Facebook post that Quill’s adoption was the “BEST news imaginable” to end the year.
Quill has defined the odds and shows that happy endings do exist!
After 278 DAYS filled with waiting, hoping, and trying, he now has a family of his own. Not because of his story. Not because of his wait. But because it was meant to be. While we are overjoyed for Quill, the staff and volunteers shared a bittersweet, tearful moment as the dog who filled up so much of 2025 walked out the doors. From longest-stay to right-where-he-belongs… happy tails, Quill!
