Three new ‘trash’ laws for 2026 including extra fees up to $150 for throwing out seasonal debris no homeowner can avoid

NEW trash laws are making their way to several US states starting in 2026.

One of the new laws will force homeowners to pay up to $150 just dispose of leaves and vegetation, while another will completely overhaul a neighborhood’s recycling rules.

Comal County, a small city about 40 miles outside of San Antonio, Texas, announced new recycling rules taking effect on January 1.
