BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Hospital officials say the first newborn deliveries occurred overnight, not long after ringing in 2026.
One newborn reportedly couldn’t wait until the weekend. Billie was brought into this world at 3:43 a.m., on the first day of 2026, Adventist Health officials said.

Billie, who was named after her grandfather, weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces at 19.5 inches long.
The parents were identified as Tahnee and William. Billie is their fourth child together. They have two other daughters and a son.
Tahnee and William weren’t expecting Billie until Jan. 3, but they say Billie’s birth was a nice surprise and keeps their tradition of holiday birthdays since mom was born on Valentine’s Day…
