Bemus Point Man Charged with DWI After Vehicle Found in Snowbank

A man from Bemus Point has been charged with driving under the influence over the holiday. In the early morning hours of New Year’s Day, officers with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a vehicle that was reportedly stuck in a snowbank on Bowman Avenue in the Town of Chautauqua. The deputies identified the driver to be 45-year-old Jeremy Chambers, investigated further, and allege that he was driving while intoxicated at the time of arrest.
