60 shell casings found after shots fired at New Year’s Day gathering

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A New Year’s Day gathering at a Southeast Shelby County home ended with arrests after dozens of gunshots were fired outside.

No one was hurt, but Shelby County deputies said they found around 60 shell casings in the backyard of a residence in the 7400 block of Iris Cove.

The homeowner, Michael Bruce, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Taylor Jones was also arrested and charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
