MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A DeSoto County woman has been charged with defrauding the state of Mississippi out of thousands in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) dollars.
Jasmine Lampkin was arrested on December 15 in DeSoto County after an investigation by the Mississippi Department of Human Services, the agency said.
Lampkin received more than $25,000 in SNAP benefits by not accurately reporting household income to the state, the agency stated. She is charged with fraud in connection with a state or federal program.
