SELMA — Sometimes suspects get creative. Sometimes their ideas just don’t work.
Brian Lewis Brinkley, 32, of Smithfield, learned that the hard way on December 28. Deputies with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to serve multiple Wake County warrants at a home on Jerry Road near Selma when they discovered Brinkley hiding inside a clothes dryer.
Deputies said Brinkley’s outstanding warrants included breaking and entering, injury to property, forgery, and uttering a forged instrument. Johnston County deputies added resisting a public officer to the list…
