A boat incident in Boynton Beach takes a serious turn when the driver, Michael Dority Gee, is charged with a felony after allegedly fleeing the scene. The crash occurred on Sunday, and Gee and a female passenger were propelled from the craft after it struck Woolbright Bridge and a nearby dock, as WSVN reports.
Witnesses looked on in disbelief as the boat, caught by a Ring camera, was spinning out of control moments before the crash. “Yo, yo, yo, are you okay? Are you okay?” one man can be heard shouting to the occupants of the boat, according to the same source. After regaining control, Gee allegedly left without ensuring the safety of his passenger or waiting for emergency services, actions that, having found him near the George Bush Boulevard Bridge after his vessel began sinking, ultimately led to his capture and arrest, as noted by WSVN.
Following the incident, both Gee and the injured woman were transported to Delray Medical Center. The passenger reportedly sustained injuries to her head, back, arms, and foot.
