None hurt after Beloit apartment fire

BELOIT, Wis. — Nobody was hurt after a fire at an apartment in Beloit Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the 2100 block of Colony Court at around 8:20 a.m. Thursday, and arrived to find flames showing from a second-floor apartment. A search found nobody in the unit, and a mutual-aid-box alarm was called to bring crews from other fire departments to the scene.

The Beloit Fire Department said that, while crews were attacking the fire, somebody drove over their primary supply line. The fire department said the incident serves as a reminder to use caution when driving near fire scenes…
