PACKWAUKEE, Wis. — A crash in Packwaukee Tuesday evening ended with three people being arrested on drug charges, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash was reported at around 10:43 p.m. A vehicle had reportedly slid off of I-39 in Packwaukee and wound up in a marsh. A deputy responded and found a woman was driving with two men in the car. The woman, identified as 27-year-old Jatasia Logan of Beloit, allegedly smelled strongly of marijuana.
One of the men, later identified as 32-year-old Virgil Tate of Beloit, allegedly gave the deputy false identifying information and Logan allegedly said she did not know his correct information. The sheriff’s office said a search uncovered a sandwich bag containing a large amount of cocaine. A bag filled with marijuana was also allegedly found.
