VANCOUVER, Wash. — An 18-year-old Vancouver man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty after investigators say he shot squirrels with darts in a Clark County park.
Trevor Ek appeared before a judge Friday afternoon and pleaded not guilty to three counts of animal cruelty. The charges stem from squirrels being found shot by darts in Lewisville Regional Park, but he is also suspected of shooting rabbits with darts in Vancouver in 2024.
According to the state, Ek admitted to police he was shooting squirrels with darts in Lewisville Regional Park earlier in 2025, saying he “enjoys killing small animals.”…
