Seattle police arrest armed man during New Year’s celebration

Police arrested a 21-year-old man who was allegedly armed with a shotgun, handgun and ammunition near the Space Needle during Seattle’s New Year’s Eve celebration, authorities said.

As thousands of people gathered for the annual New Year’s fireworks show, Marcos Campos Lezama allegedly walked through the area and stopped near a lawn that overlooks the Space Needle, according to court documents.

He allegedly “opened his coat, displaying a slung loaded shotgun, which had a flashlight with pressure pad, spare shotgun shell holders attached,” documents said…
