Alabama Awards $2.7M in Grants to Combat Homelessness

ALABAMA (WDNews) — Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded $2.7 million in grants to communities across the state aimed at reducing homelessness and preventing families and individuals from losing their housing.

State officials say the funding will support programs that provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental assistance, and supportive services for people who are currently homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
